Kelly’s DIY Wedding Flowers journey – Tring, Hertfordshire
A Midsummer Nights Dream. Surrounded by trees and nature, Kelly and Tommy made their vows in the woods.
Walking down the pathway and through Narnia’s doors, you walk into a beautiful clearing.
Kelly made all her own floral arrangements from the Bridal Bouquet, Buttonholes, Bridesmaids Bouquets and Flower Girl Posy’s, they kept things simple with elegant silk flower crowns.
Kelly, her gorgeous daughter Molly and chief Bridesmaid came out to visit us ahead of the Hertfordshire Wedding to discuss the Flowers. Her brief was light and delicate pastel tones with a touch of ‘something blue’.
We selected a choice of blooms from the flower field until Kelly was happy with what she saw and then we picked to her specific design.
Kelly was keen to have a light airy feel to her bouquet so we included clouds of Ammi Majus and a special Gypsophila that is only available from local growers called ‘Covent Garden’ which has delicate white flowers much larger than imported Gyp!
With Jam Jars waiting filled with clean water, once the Ceremony was over Kelly used the bouquets to add to the table arrangements….
The best man looking dapper with a Flower Girl Posy tucked into his buttonhole!
She laughed “once the aisle part was over the flower girls gave up holding them!”
Because the Flowers have all come from the same place, bouquets and table arrangements naturally blend seamlessly together…
Sweetpeas filled the forest with scent…
Very many congratulations Kelly and Tommy….thank you for sharing your perfect day
