I absolutely love Amaranthus growing lots of it for Late Summer and Autumn Weddings. It is the perfect vase filler to compliment Dahlia’s giving drama to both bouquets and table arrangements.
Perfect for the beginner gardener Amaranthus is easy to grow and provide excellent as garden or allotment decoration. Amaranthus ‘Hot Biscuits’ will go with everything!

How to grow
Don’t start Amaranthus too early, these half hardy plants cannot be planted until all risk of frost has passed. Sow under cover in mid spring and plant out after the last frosts, or direct sow early May… For more detailed growing instructions join our ‘Grow Along’ on Instagram

Cutting /Vase Life:
Pick when colourful seed heads have emerged straight into buckets of water and leave to rest preferably overnight this is called conditioning. Removing most of the foliage reduce the risk of wilting and at the same time reveal the colorful spires and tails, are more visible.
