Calendula ‘Touch of Red Buff’
Peachy-buff petals, a warm crimson stripe on the reverse, flowers have a dark chocolatey centre. Calendula ‘Touch of Red Buff’ is a relatively new variety.
Calendula ‘Touch of Red Buff’ is quick to flower and is ideal for growing in containers as well as the garden where it is beloved by beneficial insects.
As well as making beautiful arrangements, Calendula ‘Touch of Red Buff’ flowers are edible.
Calendula is an extremely versatile group of plants, often used medicinally in creams and salves for skin conditions.
How to grow:
Easy to grow, start seeds in Spring for for blooms in just 8-10 weeks. For the best results allow plants time to grow before the Summer heat pushes them into bloom. Cutting /Vase Life:
Picked when flowers are 1/2 open straight into ready buckets of water. We rest our stems for a few hours in water, this is called conditioning. Vase life of 5-7 days.
