Carnation Chabaud ‘Orange Sherbet’
Reviving this beautiful old fashioned flower, Carnation Chabaud ‘Orange Sherbet’ comes in fizzing shades of peach and sherbet. Blooms are sweetly fragrant and long lasting.
Unlike garden ‘pinks’ these stems are tall and brilliant for floristry. They add fragrance to arrangements after the Roses and Sweetpeas have finished.
Carnation Chabaud ‘Orange Sherbet’ is actually a perennial, but I find it is much better grown as an annual, from an early Spring sowing. A top favourite from our 2019 trials.
How to grow:
Easy to grow, start seeds in early in Spring and plant out after the risk of frost has passed. Flowers can be top heavy so provide support for nice straight stems. For more detailed growing instructions join our ‘Grow Along’ on Instagram

Cutting /Vase Life:
Excellent vase life of 10-14 days if picked as soon as the flowers start to open, straight into ready buckets of water. We rest our stems for a few hours in water, this is called conditioning.
