Dahlia ‘Burlesca’ alongside Dahlia ‘Jowey Winnie’ was hands down our most requested tuber last season.
A coral pom pom Dahlia that looks like a smaller cuter version of our best selling Dahlia ‘Jowey Winnie’, its right at the very top favourites, you won’t have seen anything like it.
Everyone who watches our Instagram stories or visits our garden demands to know the variety and begs me for tubers.
We knew we would never have enough tubers to split for everyone that wanted one, so I have asked our supplier to provide me with a some extra tubers on my order so that I can share them with you.
Shades change throughout the season. Once you have one I know you are going to treasure it!
I’m absolutely thrilled that we’ve been able to include Dahlia ‘Burlesca’ in our Annual Tuber Sale this year.
Flower type: Pom Pom
Height: 100cm (Tall)
Flower Size: 12-15cm
Position: Full Sun
Plant spacing: 60cm (min)
Pinch: when plants are 30cm tall
Cutting /Vase Life:
Dahlias do not continue to open once cut so pick when blooms are ¾ of the way open. Check the back of the flower head to check all the petals are perfect. The petals turn papery, drop and lose colour once they start to go over. Deadhead flowers to give plants back the energy to ripen the next flower rather than work on producing seed.
Place flowers straight into ready buckets of water, we rest our blooms for a few hours in water, this is called conditioning.
