Crazy beautiful Dahlia ‘Labyrinth’ is a dinner plate variety with giant peach raspberry blooms and strong heathly growth.
Like Cafe Au Lait, this dahlia has been one of the hardest to get hold of. Every time I think I’ve ordered it, it been cancelled or substituted…
But finally I have my eyes on the prize and I’m ready to share it!
We knew we would never have enough tubers to split for everyone that wanted one, so I have asked our supplier to provide me with a some extra tubers on my order so that I can share them with you.
Shades change throughout the season. Once you have one I know you are going to treasure it!
I’m absolutely thrilled that we’ve been able to include Dahlia ‘Labyrinth’ in our Annual Tuber Sale this year.
Flower type: Dinner plate
Height: 100-120cm (Tall)
Flower Size: 23-25cm
Position: Full Sun
Plant spacing: 60cm (min)
Pinch: when plants are 30cm tall
Cutting /Vase Life:
Dahlias do not continue to open once cut so pick when blooms are ¾ of the way open. Check the back of the flower head to check all the petals are perfect. The petals turn papery, drop and lose colour once they start to go over. Deadhead flowers to give plants back the energy to ripen the next flower rather than work on producing seed.
Place flowers straight into ready buckets of water, we rest our blooms for a few hours in water, this is called conditioning.
