Scabiosa atropurpurea ‘Snow Maiden’
Also known as the ‘Pincushion Flower’, Scabiosa atropurpurea ‘Snow Maiden’ has delicate white flowers on long thin stems, perfect for wedding work, but we all loved the pure white displays I made for the house last summer!
Once grown forever smitten. ‘Snow Maiden’ is a top favourite from our 2019 trials. Perfect for garden decoration, these delicate blooms dance in the breeze attracting bees and butterflies.
How to grow:
Scabiosa atropurpurea ‘Snow Maiden’ is easy to grow, start seeds early in Spring. For the best results allow plants time to grow before the Summer heat pushes them into bloom. Provide support for nice straight stems and deadhead regularly to promote further blooms to appear. Grows well in container pots.
