Create height to your garden with tall stems of Verbena bonariensis. Brilliant for lining paths before picking for your Autumn arrangements.
Vibrant purple, plants will bush out following picking creating more slightly shorter stems.
Actually a short-lived perennial grown as an annual, plants may survive during mild winters. Mulch and leave old stems to protect the crown. Plants may also be sown in Summer and overwintered in the greenhouse for bigger plants year 2. I tend to do a bit of everything. I love them.
How to grow:
Easy to grow, start seeds in early in Spring and plant out after the risk of frost has passed. Don’t plant too close to dahlias, we have found the square stems are rough and can damage petals if too closely planted. For more detailed growing instructions join our ‘Grow Along’ on Instagram
