Zinnia ‘Aztec Burgundy’

Zinnia Haageana

Known as the ‘Mexican Zinnia’, Zinnia ‘Aztec Burgundy’ produces lots of bicoloured small flowers that are perfect for everything from buttonholes and flower crowns, to bouquets and arrangements!

This Zinnia is also ideal for container growing, adding a ‘zap’ of colour to your patio pots!

The flowers are unlike anything else growing in the garden. Plant alone or together with our other Zinnia varieties for endless vase combinations!

Zinnia ‘Aztec Burgundy ‘ thrives in hot dry conditions, treat them like a tomato tucking into your kitchen garden. On in sun baked corner of your patio.

In high summer I love filling (my otherwise ‘would be’ empty) poly tunnel with them (as a third crop) as temperatures soar, they don’t even bat an eye!

How to grow
Half hardy, bordering on almost tropical, wait until late Spring before sowing. Heat loving, they are the perfect choice for late summer and look magnificent with Dahlia’s. For more detailed growing instructions join our ‘Grow Along’ on Instagram
