Zinnia ‘Queen Lime’
We love green flowers to grow, they go with everything and they look so cute in the garden. The dusty matt faces and unusual coloring, give Zinnia’s a rare and exotic beauty. After years of trials I have found Zinnia ‘Queen Lime’ the best in its class.
Zinnia ‘Queen Lime’ thrives in hot dry conditions, treat them like a tomato tucking into your kitchen garden.
In high summer I love filling (my otherwise ‘would be’ empty) poly tunnel with them (as a third crop) as temperatures soar, they don’t even bat an eye!
How to grow
Half hardy, bordering on almost tropical, wait until late Spring before sowing. Heat loving, they are the perfect choice for late summer and look magnificent with Dahlia’s. For more detailed growing instructions join our ‘Grow Along’ on Instagram
